Presentation Guidelines

We highly recommend presenters to follow the instructions noted below carefully. You need to check your presentation file in advance to confirm all fonts read correctly and all embedded video clips play smoothly within your presentation.

Invited/Oral Presentation

Presentation Time

 Length of presentation material should be in accordance with your time assigned as follows;
   - Invited Talk: 30 min. presentation including 5 min. Q&A
   - Oral Presentation: 20 min. Presentation including 5 min. Q&A

 To keep the sessions running to the set schedule and to allow possible questions from the audience, it is very important
   to keep presentation within the allocated time.

Presentation File & Speaker's biography

 Presentation file should be prepared in MS-PowerPoint format in English.

 If you use fonts other than standard Windows Office 2010, please bring the font files along with the presentation file.

 Please bring your PowerPoint presentation file on USB memory stick and submit it to the staff of each presentation
   room at least 15 minutes before each session starts. The operator will load the presentation files to the laptop PC.

 Each presenter is also asked to submit his/her own short biography to the session chair at least 10 minutes before each
   session starts.


Each session room will be preset with the following: one laptop computer, one LCD projector, one screen, one microphone and sound system, and one laser pointer. For most efficient transition between presentations, please preload each presentation onto the laptop provided. Also, there will be ICANS 27 secretariat, technician at the conference site, and staffs in each room should any problems occur with the audio-visual equipment.

No Camera & No Record

Please note that photo taking and video recording are strictly prohibited in the presentation room.

Poster Presentation

The presenters of paper accepted for poster presentation are asked to prepare a poster and display it for the duration of the conference on a designated panel provided by the conference.

 Each poster will be assigned a panel, which has its own paper's number at the conference.

 We do not specify the poster format, but each poster should include the paper title, authors, affiliation, and paper
   number and must fit within a 0.9m x 1.5m space.

 The poster text including the paper title should be printed and enlarged, so that it can be read from a distance of
   at least 2 meters.

 Poster presenters are required to prepare their own poster materials in advance and post their presentations 30 minutes
   prior to each session.

 Please remove your poster within1 hour after your session is ended. All remaining posters will be removed.

 The materials such as some scissors and tapes will be provided in Poster Session Place.
